My name is Alan Sandom, I live in Ashford Kent and have been an angler since childhood days, it took many years and sessions with reputable anglers before I gained the skills where I became successful in my angling, mainly as a competition angler, fishing many National competitions and seeing others struggling with their fishing like I had decided to become an angling coach, in 1986 I sat the coaching course with the then National Angling Council, later in 1994 I sat another training course with the National Federation of Anglers, which became the Angling Development Board and then the Angling Trust so for the past 35yrs I have held a licence to coach, my current licence is with the Angling Trust at level 2 this includes 1st aid training, Child and Vulnerable persons training, CRB and Public Indemnity cover. I am also registered and approved as an external supplier for education by the Kent County Council.
I am currently holding classes for schools for youngsters with learning difficulties but can offer additional sessions for individuals or small groups, these can be for basic introduction to fishing or tailored to others who wish to improve their angling skills, note all sessions are to the requirements of the participants, using either tackles supplied by me or your own – I can advise of suitable equipment to suit, as necessary.
All Covid restriction/precautions will be observed during current status.
Note I do not have a fixed rate of charges, but set to suit the class/session, the agreed fee to be paid before start of session (note a day ticket must also be acquired)

The Clubhouse is fully-licensed and offers a fully stocked bar along with soft drinks, teas, coffee, and hot and cold foods. Open daily, it has both indoor and outdoor seating which offers a great relaxing environment to enjoy those long summer days and evenings or for that hot drink during the winter months. The Clubhouse also includes a small tackle shop area for basic tackle sales and bait. Located close to the lakes it is the hub of the fishery and a central meeting point to sit and chat with friends.
